Responsibilities
We’re looking for Technical Writers to join UpStar Labs. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating, editing and publishing external audience related documentations for UpStar Labs products via our online manual, forums, blogs and other marketing distribution channels.
The Technical Writer role is crucial for UpStar Labs products; they translate technical-complex matters into understandable for the layman. A Technical writer is the one who highlights the product's values and empowers users to utilize the features and be successful.
The winning candidate should possess native English, excellent writing skills, and ability to communicate and work effectively with different roles/levels in software product development organizations.
Responsibilities:
Write, publish and maintain product documentations, quick start guides, release notes, tutorials, and other related materials
Collaborate with Product manager and designer to generate and review user interface (UI) messaging
Coordinate with Product and Marketing managers to implement content strategies promoting product features and enable users to leverage these features effectively
Work with Executive members to develop white papers, presentations, thought leadership content
Manage the documentation repository to maintain a usable, searchable and scalable structure
Keep track of documentation progress according to the release schedule and marketing campaigns
Edit/Review Product specifications and languages with Engineering team to improve the quality and clarity of documentations
Qualifications
Experience in writing/editing a variety of documents and styles including manual, online help, process, training, blog... preferred
BA degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or equivalent is a plus
Expert-level knowledge of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
Desired Qualities:
Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a team member
Interest in learning new domains with self-learning capability
Detail oriented and flexible to changes
