Responsibilities

As a data engineer, you are responsible for collecting data, analyzing data, and building algorithms and models to support sales, operations, and engineering teams behind our Katalon Studio solutions. Initially, you will look at our existing sales data in both structured and unstructured forms, analyze, and develop some machine learning models to support the sales team in making sales decisions. You will also recommend what types of data and information for the sales, operations, and engineering teams to gather for future analysis. As the first data engineer on our Katalon Studio team, you will take on various data collection, analysis, and modeling activities and be responsible for building our AI/machine learning effort.    

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the sales and operations teams to gather data related to our Katalon Studio solutions
  • Process, validate and integrate data from different sources and forms
  • Analyze and visualize sales data to make sales recommendations
  • Propose, implement and validate algorithms and models to support the sales team, e.g., recommending potential customers
  • Work with the engineering team to propose, implement and test proofs of concepts for new AI-based features of our Katalon Studio solutions. 

Qualifications

  • Experienced in data analysis including data gathering, processing, analyzing, visualizing, and modeling
  • Experienced in building and testing machine learning models, e.g., regression, neural networks, meta-heuristics models
  • Having a track record of performing data analysis and modeling using Python or R
  • Interested in solving open-ended business problems with a combination of technology and creative thinking
  • Interest in Katalon and software test automation
  • Effective communicator, strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent English communication skills both oral and verbal
