We are looking for a Fresher DevOps Engineer to take part in supporting our million users throughout their personalized and joyful shopping experience through our platform. The responsibility might include (eventually, but not necessarily all at once):
Configure and manage software systems and services running in AWS
Configure and manage 3rd party cloud-based software systems
Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines of in-house software project teams
Operate and monitor production system and provide the first point of contact for production incident
Work with software developers and other technical staff to troubleshoot and triage software issues in production and development environments.
Work with compliance and security team to configure and monitor all environments to meet the security requirements by business
Create and execute tests on software systems to validate their operational standards such as uptime, resilience, scalability…
Work on-shift after working hours and weekends as scheduled (if needed, with OT pay)
Qualifications:
Final year student/new graduate/less than 1 year of experience
Willingness to learn and develop a career in Ops
Strong desire to optimize and make things more efficient
Ready to work full-time officially
Skills/knowledge you need to be successful:
Good knowledge in Linux and Cloud Computing (AWS preferred)
Good knowledge in computer networking (OSI model, proxy…) and application protocols (HTTP/S, SMTP, etc.)
Scripting skill or automatic configuration management or system orchestration
Ability to learn and adapt both cloud-based and hardware server management, including virtualization & containerization
Ability to learn and independently manage and resolve end-users issues whilst understanding when to engage other engineering resources for help
Good analytical and problem solving skill
Proactiveness (self-starter), good communication and fast learning
Strong motivation to drive impact by making product improvements
Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders
Education/ training preferred:
Bachelor in Computer Science/ Software Engineering/ Telecom & Networking or IT related major
