Responsibilities

About the role:

You will be a member of Katalon IT&Security Team and be responsible for our Cyber Security. The key scope of works will include designing, deployment, automation, and monitoring systems. You will also work closely with our Development Team to implement the necessary processes to keep our platform highly available, efficient, and secure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain an AWS cloud infrastructure architecture aligning security, compliance, performance and resilience.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, auditing, and reporting frameworks that produces artifacts that support security and compliance needs.
  • Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities, respond immediately to security incidents, come up with post-incident analysis and reporting security violations.
  • Improve security defense by research and implement new technologies, techniques and tactics.
  • Defense system against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction from daily internal and external threats by monitoring system health.
  • Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, assessments and treatment plan; coordinate with related parties for consulting on remediation.
  • Perform penetration testing on company’s applications, cloud infrastructure, servers and other systems in production and development environments.
  • Develop processes that produce artifacts that support security and compliance requirements.
  • Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities related to asset protection, ensure operational security controls are implemented and maintained properly.
  • Develop and improve business continuity planning and disaster recovery protocols

Qualifications

Knowledge and skills:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT Security area in a medium or enterprise level. Have knowledge of Information and Cyber Security Management is a must.
  • Significant knowledge of security best practices for client-server product architectures, focusing predominantly on cloud-based server development.
  • Significant knowledge of AWS systems, including EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, Lambda, Security Groups, VPCs, WAF, Guard Duty, Inspector, etc.
  • Experience with cloud-based security management/IDS/IPS/SIEM tools, such as Splunk, Dome9, Fortinet, Threat Stack, etc.
  • Experience extracting pertinent security data from SIEM solutions and AWS audit, logs, and reports.
  • Fluent in at least one development language (bash/python/YAML/NodeJS, Java...)
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux based systems, Docker, Log aggregation and open source technologies.
  • Experience with DB management: noSQL, Kafka, ActiveMQ, MySQL, MS SQL
  • Having actual knowledge in ISO 27000 family, SOC2, GDPR, CSA (Cloud), HIPAA, PCI-DSS is an advantage.
  • Demonstrate good logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good at English in communication skills including oral and written.

Education/Training Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS development and management (AWS Associate certification or higher preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience writing code or scripts in a modern programming or scripting language (Java, Python, Ruby, etc.).
  • Certification of CEH, OSCP, CISSP or other equivalent certificates is an advantage.
