Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a testing project throughout specific software development process methodology and project management software tools
    • Work directly with the client on testing delivery & solution in order to understand and support to achieve their ultimate goal
    • Establish, evolve and maintain formal QA processes/procedures, ensuring that the team is using best practices
    • Oversee all aspects of project quality including defining metrics, applying best practices, developing new tools and help drive improvement as necessary to ensure quality goals are met
    • Monitor test execution and communicating the testing status or escalate issues to management and client representatives
    • Work with onshore/offshore test lead to define project schedule and allocate resources; select appropriate test approaches, test tool for assigned projects
    • Direct and support team to maintain their focus on the project objectives   
    • Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plan
  • Account for people development of a team
    • Develop team spirit, motivate and build morale
    • Recognize and use individual abilities; and deal with individual problems
    • Be in charge of subordinates’ career development plan and performance review
    • Ensure communication within the group
    • Lead team building and team bonding activities
  • Support other requests at account/company level:
    • Plan recruitment, conduct interviews and make hiring decisions as needed
    • Participates in R&D, training activities related to but not limited to software testing
    • Coordinate activities across different organizational functions

Qualifications

Skills/experience You’ll need to be Successful:

  • Experience with managing testing team & working with US clients is required
  • Excellent knowledge of software testing methodology, with excellent sense of quality assessment and quality improvement
  • Hands-on experience on setting up testing toolset and metrics
  • Experience with defining/tailoring software testing process which can jointly be applied for the testing team & client’s teams
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  • Proficiency in project management software tools
  • Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
  • Good human relations skills, ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments, especially conflict resolution
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and client relations skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills including attention to details
  • Excellent English communication – in both writing and speaking
  • Experience with testing web-based applications & healthcare domain is a big plus
  • PMP and Scrum Master certificates are desirable
