Responsibilities

The Senior Finance Specialist will play an essential role in core finance and accounting services that support the services and products for a group of companies to help proactively make business decisions. 

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for month-end closing, working on a monthly/ quarterly/ annually process of financial statement that includes explaining variances to plan and suggestions, having accurate financial records helps managers and business owners to answer important questions, in addition to ad-hoc analyses for each department as needed. This position reports to the Finance Manager.

  • Fully responsible for month-end closing, actual reporting cycles in time with high accuracy;
  • Be able to consolidate reports & understand cost structure to advise bookkeeping activities in VN & US;
  • Review, validate and analyze monthly results to ensure accuracy of financial statements; Work on a monthly P&L review process that includes explaining variances to plan;
  • Prepare and distribute the data analysis reports for supporting the quarterly/ mid-year/ annually review with each department; Perform analysis reviews on the financial performance of the various business units and investigate variances against the norms, budget and forecast; 
  • Conduct in-depth research of historical data and perform analysis on key financial standard & finance health with commentary and suggestions as needed;
  • Work closely with Finance Manager in preparation and evaluation of reforecasting, planning and budgeting activities;
  • Be partner with cross function and finance business partnering team on monthly/yearly budget, highly the red zoom of forecast accuracy, follow the action to delivery actual better or in line with budgeting;
  • Apply and enhance the finance & accounting procedures for supporting all departments within the group of companies;
  • Work on global finance and accounting system based on ERP application;
  • Directly work with the finance manager, finance director in VN, and foreign finance manager in the US;

Qualifications

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Minimum 06 years working experience in Finance and Analytical role
  • Experience in FP&A or Finance Business Partner (FBP);
  • Have knowledge & working on foreign accounting tools is an advantage (e.g. NetSuite/ Sunsystem/ Quickbook)
  • Ideally, has experience in the technology or technology services industry
  • Ability to demonstrate basic financial acumen
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel (including financial modeling) skills
  • Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
  • Good English communication and writing as a condition required
