Responsibilities

The Vice President of Human Resources serves as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team, reporting directly to KMS CEO and dotted line reporting to KMS Vietnam's Managing Director. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated HR strategies that drive KMS Technology's business goals across multiple global locations, supporting our growth from 1,200+ employees to a global industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the executive team to design and implement HR strategies that align with KMS's business objectives and growth targets
  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent strategies covering recruitment, development, engagement, and retention to support KMS's expansion in Vietnam, the U.S., and Mexico
  • Lead organizational design initiatives that optimize structure, reporting relationships, and role definitions to maximize operational effectiveness

People and Culture

  • Champion KMS's company culture across all locations while respecting local nuances
  • Design innovative programs to enhance employee experience, engagement, and well-being
  • Develop scalable approaches to maintain our strong culture through periods of rapid growth
  • Create strategies to position KMS as an employer of choice in competitive technology talent markets

Talent Management

  • Build best-in-class talent acquisition capabilities to support aggressive growth targets
  • Design and implement comprehensive performance management and career development programs
  • Create leadership development pathways to build bench strength and succession planning
  • Establish compensation and benefits strategies that attract and retain top talent while managing costs

Operational Excellence

  • Lead the HR team across multiple locations, ensuring consistent service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Develop scalable HR policies, processes, and systems that can support organizational growth
  • Drive data-driven decision-making through effective HR analytics and metrics
  • Manage HR budget and resources to deliver maximum impact for investment

Qualifications

Experience

  • 12-15+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 6 years in senior HR leadership roles
  • Proven track record leading HR functions in technology companies with 1,000+ employees
  • Experience supporting multi-location and/or global operations
  • Demonstrated success implementing HR transformation during periods of rapid growth
  • Experience partnering with private equity-backed companies is highly desirable
  • Prior experience in the software development or IT services industry strongly preferred
  • Work experience for a company based in the United States or Canada is strongly preferred

Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep understanding of strategic workforce planning and organizational development
  • Expert knowledge of talent acquisition strategies for competitive technical roles
  • Strong background in performance management and leadership development
  • Proficiency in HR analytics and using data to drive business decisions
  • Experience implementing and optimizing HRIS and other HR technology solutions
  • Thorough understanding of Vietnamese labor laws and HR regulations
  • Excellent business acumen and ability to align HR initiatives with business outcomes

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent) highly desirable

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills while Vietnamese is a plus
